Glossary of Terms
Potential hydrogen is represented by pH – It measures the alkalinity or acidity of water. The number seven is neutral. Alkaline is higher than seven, acidic is lower than seven.
ORP is an acronym for Oxidation Reduction Potential – Water’s antioxidant potential is measured by this test. Water with a higher negative number has greater antioxidant potential.
Customized – Whole-house water filtration systems are configured to target local toxins. Water ionizers with customized filtration offer the best filtration available
Convertible – Some whole-home water filtration systems are for countertop use only. There are others that are only under the sink. Whole-home water filtration systems that can be converted between the countertop and under-counter use are convertible. WIM
